High production values in a venue where every seat is good. Many of the plays are premiers and some have transferred to New York stages. A long history has also built an excellent company of actors. DETROIT is the most recent show that I saw and it was very well done.

I recently saw the play "Detroit" at Woolly Mammoth and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The play, like all I've seen at Woolly Mammoth, was thought-provoking and very well-staged. The space this theater occupies is simply perfect for the type of regional theater it is striving to be. And, there are great restaurants all-around. Try the margaritas at Oyamel right next door!

we went to see "Detroit" and it was very good (but not great). the staging was interesting as they reconfigured the theater to put the stage in the middle of an audience that was slice into two halves. the chance to see something done differently plus the intimate setting of the theater mkae it an interesting place to catch a performance.
