“Not your traditional dim sum place, but interesting.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

This would not be good place if you want to eat real dim sum, but might be interesting if you wanted to experience a different twist on this traditional Chinese cuisine. Please be forewarned because the prices are higher than the traditional Chinese dim sum places, this is not a place that you would go family style… it would cost you much much more. However, they do have interesting dim sum seasonal concoctions that are worth trying out. I went there for lunch, but I noticed they had a rather extensive bar, as most places do in Dupont Circle. As long as you don’t overdo it on the number of plates you order, the food is somewhat lighter than traditional dim sum and doesn’t fill you up as fast. Parking is a HUGE challenge. As I mentioned I went there for lunch and it was tough to find a space and the parking garages around the place were closed on weekends.

“Unique place with great Asian "tapas"”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We visited on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. We had our 7 year old son with us and figured we could find some things that he would eat. We were right! After reviewing the menu, I can confidently say that I wanted one of each offering listed. If you are super hungry and a "meat & potatoes" type eater, you should probably avoid this place. The portions for each are similar to dim sum, three servings each. The desserts are very tiny but delicious. Enjoyed it and each one we chose was excellent. Somewhat pricey and kind of a "hip" place. It looked to be a place where 20-30 year olds congregate on the weekend night or for date night.

“Just Average...not worth seeking out”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

If you're use to loud clanging steam carts in endless procession, this is not the Dim Sum for you. All food is off the menu. In total, it was about a "7", but nothing special. The restaurant has no real spark as an tnterior goes. We did love the seating.

However, the fact they said they would validate parking and did not really ruined the visit.

Forgettable.

“Decent Happy Hour”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

This place makes for a great happy hour. Cocktails are $6 and appetizers are $3. Only problem is that the appetizers are small so you have to order about 3 of them just for yourself and there are only 5 options on the Happy Hour menu. Service was decent, but our waiter go annoyed at us after a while. Can't imagine why. Between four of us we racked up a $150 tab in 2 hours. The guys I was with drank and drank. Definitely a recommended stopping point before a later dinner, just beware the prices do add up quickly.

“spin on the dum sum I grew up on”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

Not your typical dim sum place with carts. Upscale with a creative spin to dim sum. I enjoyed what we ordered. Definitely pricier than what you would spend at an Asian dim sum place. Great for a date night. Would not recommend for kids at all...I have 3 and they wouldn't try very much.
