“Out of the Mountain of Despair”
Reviewed September 21, 2013 via mobile

What a beautiful tribute to MLK Jr. A cleaved mountain leads to a stone of hope, a giant sculpture of MLK hewn in a white granite rock, peering out over the Tidal Basin. There are scores of inspirational quotes by Dr King here. Must see memorial.

This is a beautiful memorial, showing MLK is his larger than life stature. Well know quotes throughout.

“Wonderful likeness and Memorial to Martin Luther King Junior”
Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

I viewed the memorial after the questionalble quote had been removed and it's barely noticeable. The large granite monument strikes a striking resemblance to Martin Luther King Jr. I have been to Washington but not since this memorial has been installed. The memorial is worth the trip.

First time visit while visiting DC with some family from Europe. The statue of Martin Luther King is quite large & captivating. A great tribute to a man who was a champion of freedom & equality. A great lesson for all of us
