Design is very good (with walking between mountains) to get to front of statue. I dislike the location. I thought it was kind of out of the way (hid off to side) as compared with other memorials in the areas.

Magnificent sculpture-facial features capture intensity within ML. Beautifully designed memorial! Take a few moments to sit and wonder. A must see!

Candidly, I wasn't impressed by the monument. Some of the quotes were shortened/re-written for the sake of abbreviation, which rendered them inaccurate. The concept of physically presenting the "out of the mountain of dispair" speech by taking a segment of stone for the sculpture out of the granite mountain is very creative and thought-provoking. But for all the so-called deep-thinking symbolism prooffered by the ranger, they chose to ignore or excuse the symbolism of using a Chinese sculptor using segments of Chinese granite as fascia and a core of concrete for building the monument. Getting past all the smooth deftly-written prose justifying every lilt of every featured facet, Dr. King's legacy deserved better.

America doesn't have the stone to create this monument?
It was good in teaching us about MLK. The monument was well executed and creative. But, the materials from China disturbed us.
