“Fantastic dining experience!”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

My husband had the halibut special and I had the crispy skate. Both were outstanding. Sides were delicious, too. Nice atmosphere, busy but not overly loud, and we loved our waiter! Will definitely go back.

“Small gem in Cleveland Park”
Reviewed August 11, 2012 via mobile

Have eaten here two or three times for lunch and dinner. Good service; small, but excellent, wine-by-the-glass selection, very high quality French bistro food. Small seating area outside in front-- very pleasant of an evening.

“Neighborhood gem”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

Le Zinc is a classy little neighborhood bistro. The owner is ever present, which results in friendly and professional service. Their mussels are excellent, and the menu leans to French cuisine. While tasty, the downside for regulars is the rather heavy treatments. Most entrees feature rich sauces, but careful picks are possible.
The atmosphere is friendly- perfect for meeting your friends.

“Good, but undistinguished”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

The food was good. Servers and host were uppity. It wasn't cheap. For the money, I'd go across the street to 2 Amys.

“Like on a Mini French Vacation ...”
Reviewed June 9, 2012

I was transported to the feeling of a French town square when sitting on Le Zinc's terrace, enjoying my wine while waiting for my daughter, and then having dinner together. It helped that it was very sunny and warm that evening.
But Le Zinc manages a very appealing ambiance outside and inside; very attentive service (Thank You, Peter!), and just a good place to be. Also, you will notice that the patrons are simply in a good mood and that there are many more interactions than usual between tables of strangers - a very good sign that everyone enjoys the full experience at LeZinc.
A menu that is quite varied with many different flavors.
The summer pea soup was delicious - the deep green color attests to the careful and fresh preparation. We had a salmon special that was really, really excellent - very crisp salmon; with pasta that was very tasty.

Only downside - the wines by the glass are overpriced (which did not stop me from drinking 3 glasses, but still ...)
