“My go-to place in DC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last year and they continue to be accommodating and pleasant. I've commented on the staff before and it just doesn't get much better. Josue and Tera are at your service and can respond to all your needs. They handle all your requests in a professional manner. Latoya and other hotel employees have been cordial as well. Rooms have been upgraded since my first visit, and the location is perfect. The complimentary breakfast is more than adequate and gets your off and running. A great value in DC.

Our family of 6 (4 adults, 2 small kids) rented a 2 bedroom suite for 4 nights while attending a family weekend wedding in nearby Georgetown over Columbus Day.

The good news was the excellent location, nicely appointed rooms, and relatively clean conditions.

Most disappointing were marginal service, very noisey older plumbing and a/c heating, totally worthless WIFI, dimly lit bathrooms, and a poor storage and access for all the clothing and other items a travelling family requires. One small dresser in each bedroom, small unlit closets, no real storage to speak of except in kitchen area.

For a cost of nearly five hundred bucks a night, this was not a good choice for our family, all considered.

The hotel is convenient to the DuPont circle metro station and about 20 minutes by taxi from National Airport. Restaurants close by and numerous other restaurants and shops on Connecticut Avenue. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean, spacious, and quiet.

We loved our stay in this hotel. We were a family of 4 and got upgraded to the spacious 2 bedroom apartment. We were pleasantly surprised also by the complimentary dinner provided Mon- Wed evenings. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful to us during the Govt shutdown. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay here again. The hotel has been completely renovated and is in an awesome location, felt very safe. Thank you to the staff of this hotel, you made us feel very welcome!

This hotel is awesome, great location, even better people and it's all brand new! Best choice in the area! At the complementary breakfast you have a wide range of good food. Wifi is free and the mini market is open 24/7. I've stayed here for a couple weeks and i had a great experience! Thank you Marriott!

I stayed at the hotel for a couple of time while on a business trip. The hotel is not that fancy but rooms are spacious, equipped with a kitchenette, big fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cooking stove, a living room with an office. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and clean. The hotel can do your food shopping for you if you like. I tried the breakfast and it was decent and with good quality and variety. The gym does not have many equipments but it was OK for me. There is a complementary snacks and drinks every evening.

The location of the hotel is great -- 2 blocks from a Metro stop, and lots of restaurants around. Also a nice walk to Georgetown. It has parking, which is a nice plus. I think the downside was stated pretty explicitly when we checked in: the staff member said to us that the hotel is partial service, not a "full service" Marriott. We stayed on the 7th floor, and the internet was spotty and slow; calling the front desk resulting in a long-ringing line; and checking out with a Marriott gift card took about 30 minutes (granted, it was a "legacy" gift card and they did not know how to handle it). The room was a Queen suite, and was nice enough -- large, nothing plush, and a clean bathroom.

I think my main gripe was the air conditioning. I'm used to being in a hotel in which you can turn on the air, and feel the room cool down within 20-30 minutes. It was 95-100 degrees when we were in DC, and the A/C is on a motion detector system -- lovely for energy efficiency, less so for walking into a warm room after a long day out. Took a couple of hours for the room to cool down.

Overall, I might stay again, but would be more than willing to check out other properties.
