The hotel is a manageable walk to the major sites, the nearest metro is only 5 min walk away and there are numerous restaurants and cafes within a 10 min walk.

The hotel is well run - a good standard Marriott Courtyard. The rooms are of a decent size. It has a good bar - excellent selection of micro beers - and a full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner - versus the more usual bistros. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Th coffee was dire though - but fortunately Starbucks is only 4 blocks away! The staff on reception were extremely helpful and the bar staff very friendly.

The gym was of a decent size. The pool, though small, was a surprise and perfect to freshen up after a tour of the sites! I'll be back for sure.

Close to 14th street restaurants, DuPont Circle, White House and about 20-25 minutes to the Mall. We've stayed several times and the staff always remembers us. The lobby was recently renovated and is very sleek. Rooms are nice size, comfortable, and most have a nice view. Attached restaurant has good food at reasonable price. Usually room rate is reasonable unless some big event in town. In May at time of White House Press Club dinner, I paid around $159 for 2 nights and then price jumped to $400 for the night of the dinner.

Room Tip: Corner suites are very nice and have small fridge & microwave. Great view of embassy row and 16...

We stayed here 3 nights for a sightseeing trip, not having visited DC in a great many years. It was more economical than hotels located closer to Dupont Circle, but was still only a 8-10 minute walk to the Circle. We walked all the way to the Mall and back twice (about 20 minutes). It didn't make much sense to find a bus or subway. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, including two good places for breakfast (Jake's just down Rhode Island, and California Grill on M street). Laundry room available, along with workstations/printers in the lobby. Very helpful front desk staff. Both USA Today and Wall Street Journal are complimentary. Room was pretty standard, but nice that sink was separate from toilet/bath. Plenty of towels. Room could have used an extra low table for luggage, magazines, etc. Very good light levels!

This place was great. I'm a very nervous traveler and i felt completely at ease here. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient, in particular the supervisor of the restaurant Lorraine Singleton who served us every morning at breakfast. I'd definitely go back.

Room Tip: I didn't find that my room has any noise, although the maids were a bit noisy talking in the cor...

I've stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and I must say it was very good.
It was one of the cheapest 3 star options in DC.
The location is very good 10-15 minutes walk from downtown.
The rooms are huge and very comfortable.
The hotel offers free wi-fi and computers in the lobby.
The only thing I didn't like was the food in the restaurant, although it was late in the night and the kitchen was almost closing.
Overall a very good option, due to location, rooms and price.

I would have to say i was just shocked with the the rooms at this property. Truly it felt like I was staying in an Econo Lodge room instead of Marriott. Old carpet with stains and what look to be cigarette burn holes (100% Non Smoking Property). Mattress and comforters hideous. Rooms could really use some love. On a better note staff was very friendly and willing to help with anything. Nice fitness area and indoor pool. Location wasn't bad either. Definitely wont stay again. Was just trying out a new spot.

Visiting Washington for a duel purpose- the visit a relative resident here [who currently has only a one-bedroom apartment] and enjoy the sites. We were glad we chose this hotel - the room was fine and quiet [despite overlooking Scott Circle] and the heating/air con quiet and efficient [the temperature varied from zero to 8o degrees while we were there!]. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. I wish I knew their names to give them a special mention, but they were all great. My children enjoyed the pool and gym. The location is good too, not too busy and not too far from the metro.
