“Happy Hour: This is the place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

Don't miss a chance for Happy Hour! Oysters are half-priced (along with shrimp and other goodies). We were there during a playoff game for Capitals, every it was a lot of fun! We only had oysters, shrimps and wine but they portend great food from the rest of the menu.

The service was great. The hostess went way out of her way to get us seated... Just a good time.

“Delicious brunch served in a comfortable environment.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2012

The restaurant is located in a great location near the Marine Barracks and a short distance from the US Capitol. Several restaurants are also located on this street making it difficult to choose. The interior of Senart's Oyster and Chop House was rather quiet on the Sunday morning that we had brunch but the food was nonetheless, delicious and our server most courteous. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

“Best food in Washington DC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2012

We found this restaurant/bar completely by chance having been advised to go to another place on Barrack Street. However, stepping out of our taxi we saw this inviting location and went inside. We weren't disappointed; great bar staff who know their beers and wines, a warm and inviting interior, and a small but fantastic eating area at the back. But the real bonus was the food - we had excellent, tasty and reasonably priced food that I would have expected to pay three or four times as much for. It was amazing. The staff were great, the vibe of the place wonderful, and the whole experience the best one of our 10-day trip across America. I would suggest anyone visiting Washington DC should go to this place - you won't be disappointed.
