“Great Food - Wonderful service!”
Reviewed September 5, 2011

This kosher restaurant is located in the Jewish Community Center on the ground floor. There are about 15 tables, all beautifully set. The food was wonderful. There is a nice variety of meats, poultry and fish to choose from - as well as appetizers, soups and salads. There are no dairy choices. The waiters were great. My husband's steak was not as well done in the middle as he liked so they put it back on the grill, no questions asked. The portions were nice sized. My sister, who is on a very strict diet, ate here and they were very accommodating to her requirements. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone (kosher or non-kosher) and would definitely revisit thie restaurant on my next visit to the area.

“Surprisingly good and fairly priced, espcially for a kosher restaurant”
Reviewed September 4, 2011

My family and I visited Distrikt Bistro for dinner before theater at the DCJCC and were pleasantly surprised. The food was quite tasty, and the portions were generous -- in some cases enormous. We particularly liked the eggplant and the mushroom appetizers and the rack of lamb entree. Other dishes we tried -- a tilapia special and the farfalle grilled chicken over pasta -- were also good. Prices were what might be expected for a downtown D.C. restaurant, although the large rack of lamb was quite expensive at $34. The atmosphere was casual, service was friendly, and several observant families felt comfortable bringing children of all ages. We look forward to returning. Because the number of tables is limited, reservations are encouraged.
