We visited with a large group on a Saturday morning. The market was busy, and very vibrant. There are several merchants from a lunch counter to fish market, meat market, flower stand, cheese shop, pasta place, produce markets and a bakery. It was a neat place to visit and find fresh foods.

Outside there was a street fair with lots more vendors of foods and crafts. Parking is a bit of s challenge, but we found a space in the adjacent neighborhood after a lap around.

I had one of the best soups ever from a vendor, and great dumplings from another vendor. Also, there was a tiny seating area for the eight of us.

We always enjoy coming here when visiting DC to pick up fresh meat or seafood and produce for dinner. Unfortunately, the outdoor stalls were not open when we came, but the indoor vendors had plenty to choose from. Great market experience, and convenient to the Metro.

I seldom miss breakfast at the Eastern Market on Saturday morning when I'm in the D.C. area. I love the food and the atmosphere and browsing the permanent vendors inside as well as those set up outside. Always a great morning!

Eastern Market is a treasure trove of goods and experiences. You senses will enjoys all the activity in the Spring ans Summer months. You can get all your a meal, your food items, and more....soaps, clothing, jewelry, and never seem items. And, don't forget the dogs..the place is reaply dog friendly.

And add bonus it the pottery store downstairs. It is easy to miss but worth seeking out.
