This is very nice boutique hotel located just shy of midtown DC. You’re not far from the clubs and restaurants in Dupont, Midtown, Adams Morgan and Cleveland Park.
The elevator is tiny so if you have a lot of luggage or a large group you may need to take separate trips. The room however was fairly large. We booked the Junior Suite with double beds. There was a little nook/den with a desk just off to the front of the beds. Not sure, how practical it is, because it almost feels like a small separate room or crawl space, but it was a cool feature. The bathroom was very large and modern.
When we first entered the room it was a bit stifling. Fortunately there were a number of windows you could actually open (you don’t always see that in hotels with classic/older buildings). There was no ice bucket. There was a fridge in the room, but it wasn’t helpful if you immediately needed a cold drink. The front desk did send one up, but we just assumed it was a standard accessory. Lastly and this is just a matter of personal taste, the artwork was a bit creepy; a weird oil portrait of a little girl holding a duck, with a dog oddly tucked in the corner. Definitely not a deal breaker, but strange.
Overall good stay, would definitely recommend the hotel and price was certainly reasonableMore
