Description: The very first Paolo's found its home in historic Georgetown in the 1980's, and has been a Georgetown staple ever since. The bustling ristorante has become a corner fixture in this centuries old melting pot amongst politicians, travelers, shoppers and students. Dine outside and watch the world go by, or sit inside and watch your pizza being prepared in our fabulous brick oven, and most of all - enjoy! Located in the heart of Georgetown, Paolo's serves fine Cal-Italian cuisine full of exciting pizzas and exquisite pastas.

“My second time at Paolo's: The Burrata salad is heavenly!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

Super efficient staff, great and generous portions, fresh produce, what's not to like! I have tried (through personal orders or through "assisting" friends with lesser appetite) the pizzas, pastas, calamare, seafood salad, burrata salad, Paolo salad, cold cuts appetizer ... All outstanding! Would go back in a heart beat during my next trip to Georgetown.

“Great place!!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

Paulo's was great, my pizza was nice and tasty and the service was quick and personal. My glass of coke was never empty before it was refilled! The atmosphere was great, we sat in a quiet little corner which was nice. Definately will come back if I am in the area

“Respectful Italian-style food in Georgetown”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

Fresh baked grissini and tapenade are offered by the house.. very good!
The pizza margherita was surprisingly good. (served on a wooden plate)
The Burrata is a very good lunch choice (it comes with a generous slice of Pesto Pizza).

“Brined and definitely not al dente”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

If its one thing an asian can't stand, its uncooked rice. There's a huge difference between al dente and rocks. I ordered chicken arrabiata, and the chicken was brined wayyyyy too long. Talk about salty... The "smashed" chickpeas were not smashed and the basmati rice was not even close to being cooked. I sent the dish back, but when it returned, I could only eat the spinach from the dish. I had about three bites of the chicken, tried to suck it up, but ultimately the dish was altogether just bad. I was not a fan at all.
