This hotel is about a half block from the red line, very easy to get to and I felt safe walking back and forth from the hotel to the metro even after midnight. Staff was very pleasant, room was ready early. Tried breakfast buffett even though I did not get the package that includes breakfast and it was nice - made to order omlettes, pancakces, french toast, etc plus a host of other choices. Cost without having it included in your reservation was $14.95 (less for kids) but that included everything (coffee, juice too) so if you can get it included in the reservation for less than that - it is worth it. Rooms were like most Hilton Garden - nicely done (this is a new hotel) and beds were very comfy, fridge was included (Harris Teeter right next door). Given the relatively low cost for a DC hotel very near the metro (and only about 3/4 miles from Union Station - an easy walk) I will stay here again.

Room Tip: I was on 8th floor and heard no street noise

Dear lapradem,
Thank you for your thorough and positive review. I especially appreciate your comments about our breakfast. We do provide a generous offering of “cooked-to-order” offerings at an attractive price. Alternatively, offer a “bed and breakfast” package which includes breakfast for 2 adults at no additional cause. You are not the first person to mention Harris Teeter – it is a great grocery store that many of our guests enjoy. And with the refrigerator in every room as you mentioned, it is very easy to pick up a snack and save it for later. Thank you again for your detailed review, and I hope we will see you in DC again soon!

Sincerely,

This hotel is across the street from my son's apartment. Quiet location with large clean rooms. Staff is very nice and friendly. The reception is very small and had some people there that made me hesitate to enter. All was fine though. Enjoyed our stay and hope to be there a lot in the future.

when street construction is done a good place to stay. We could not get there without a phone call that "talked us in". Easy access to Metro - and thus the National Mall and all of DC. Gourmet Harris Teeter grocery across street and Starbucks nearby.

Loved this hotel-a great value for a weekend stay. I have always stayed out of DC on the weekends but the cost of this hotel was a value. Location only a few minutes from Union Station. Staff was great and the lounge area very comfortable.

The hotel staff was very nice. Teemon who checked us in advise that we don't say our room number out loud. I had a good laugh but was glad for the safety tip. The only subpar experience was the breakfast. The staffs were young and seemed inexperienced.

Although the hotel was a little difficult to find due to the roadworks, once there everything ran like clockwork. THe hotel is clean and nicely decorated. Rooms were a decent size, quiet and with a good number of electrical outlets for my laptop, phone tablet etc. The bed was comfortable and the pillows seemed new, as did the bedding. Very helpful and friendly staff from housekeeping to reception as well as the parking valet. I would highly recommend this hotel and will certainly be making it my first choice when in DC. The only minor downside was that a cab was needed to go to restaurants etc but one was always readily available so not really an issue.

Dear Tina H,

Thank you for your nice review. You are not the first to mention the road construction project. While it does not create noise thankfully, it can cause traffic to get a little backed up out front. The good news is that the project will be completed in January and we will have beautiful new sidewalks around the hotel. I am delighted to hear that you found our staff to be helpful and friendly. We read every review, and I will be sure to pass along your kind words to our team! Thank you for staying with us, and I hope we will see you in DC again very soon.

Sincerely,
