The customer service support from the staff at this hotel is warm and refreshing, especially with it being located in DC, you feel as though you are receiving down-home southern hospitality! I have been dealing with Lois Evans, one of the Sales Coordinators. She is wonderful with fulfilling all our requests and answering all our quesions for a group of vacationing Senior citizens that have never stayed in the DC area before. Thank you Lois, looking forward to meeting you in person!

Decided to make DC trip on short notice. Did very little research. This hotel turned out to be a very good choice. Was very close to the metro & had a Harris Teeter in the same block & a pharmacy across the street. Most all surrounding buildings were offices. Very close to bus station. First night, took a walk (with map in hand) & three people asked if we needed help with directions - one was even a car that stopped - totally friendly people!! The room was not what you'd call spacious, but it was adequate for our needs. Was very clean - bed linen smelled fresh and bathroom was spotless. Loved the electric mirror. We were right across from the elevator but never heard it. Never heard anyone in the hallway - was extremely quiet. A/C was not what you'd call noisy, but can see how a light sleeper might not like it. It was more like white noise to me - slept like a log!! No restaurants close, but we ate at the hotel restaurant and had very nice dinners there. All hotel employees very friendly and helpful. Can't say anything bad, and that's good. Can't honestly say it was a good value because we didn't have time to shop around for prices, but can say we were glad we picked this one. Clean, comfortable, safe, quiet, good staff - can't ask for more.

Room Tip: top floor was super quiet

Good Afternoon,

I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and loved our helpful neighbors! Our electric (non fogless) mirrors are very popular with our guests--I wish I had one in my bathroom at home!

Come back and see us again soon!

Wow. The staff at this hotel was so helpful, attentive and courteous. The night we checked in, they let us know there was a night club across street that tends to get a little loud at times, & asked if would we like another room on the other side of the hotel/away from the club. As we had very little sleep and a full day ahead of us, we gladly took the other room. We then met up with our friend the next day and needed the suite which was on the side by the club. The club was hoppin the following night also, but it really wasn't loud at all. The staff had moved our luggage during the day from one toom to the other. The hotel was fairly well insulated as watching out the window, you could see how busy it was.
We needed extra towels and they were to our room with them w/in 5 minutes. Every time we entered the lobby they ALL said hello, how is your day going, etc. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There is a grocery store downstairs as well as deli & coffee shop. The Metro stop is a block away - soooo nice even when we arrived late at night, we did not feel uncomfortable walking from the stop to the hotel. Newer neighborhood and clean.
The last day check out time was before we planned to leave and the hotel kindly held our bags until we returned to pick them up.
If we go to DC again, we will be staying at this hotel. Great location and staff.

The staff does a great job making you feel welcomed. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. Metro very close by. We (2 kids 2 adults) came back late Monday night (around 11pm) and felt safe (two bldgs between hotel and metro require 24 hour security I guess). We would come back to this hotel again.

Next to Gallaudet University and one block from Metro stop. From there on the red line one stop to Union Station, three or four to Downtown Center. Hotel is new and clean, sapcious rooms and very comfortable beds.
Right next to Hotel is a new grocery store with good deli section fresh fruits and vegetables and and a CVS pharmacy. The neighborhood is all new, a few blocks that underwent gentrification (offices, flats). Two three eateries (chains) that offer breakfast and lunch. In the evening you don't want to spend time right there. And for the friens of nightlife: Right across the hotel is the Ibiza Club: Some think it is one of the coolest places for the 18+ crowd, some think it is a dorky place.

We stayed here on a weekend trip to D.C. and the hotel was wonderful. The desk staff and restaurant wait staff were very kind and helpful. They offered us bottled water before we went out on a hot day of sight-seeing, and accommodated our every need. The room was very large and very nicely furnished. I was very pleasantly surprised at how quiet the hotel was, which is unusual in a big city. The hotel seemed new. We didn't have a nice view from our room, but it didn't matter, since we'd seen so much during the day. The location was great, only 2 blocks from the White House. We were concerned about the length of the walk to the Smithsonian, but it's just a mile, with plenty to see along the way. Lots of restaurants nearby, ideal Metro location across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here on our recent trip DC and it was just what we needed. The hotel is pretty new and very clean. The front desk staff was always happy to help and answer any questions we had. There are a few restaurants nearby and also a grocery store next door. The NY metro stop is around the block for easy access to many of DC's sights and restaurants. The only complaint is that the hot tub closes early ( which isn't my complaint but my fiance's). We will definitely stay here again. The location and the price were just right.
