“Good (very spicy) Food and Nice Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

We were here for dinner since it was almost the only restaurant that still had tables free in busy Washington D.C. The service was nice and funny, but it took a lot of time until we were seated and ordered and they let us wait 40min for our food. The food was great though, we had the sweet & sour Cauliflower (which we believed to be sweet & sour), but it was hell of spicy that I my taste buds were kind of numb the rest of the evening. However the chickpeas in ginger were tasty and the Mango Lassi sooo yummy and sweet. Overall good restaurant with big portions, good food, and nice but very slow service.

“Great Indian Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

We loved this restaurant. Great service and wonderful food. We asked for help with the menu and selected a variety of choices and all were good. The spinach naan was really a treat - you might ask for that or cauliflower naan. I highly recommend. Nice ambiance.

“We really liked this place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

Indian cuisine is one of our favorites, and we all really liked this place. It was a bit on the spendy side (but quite reasonable by Washington standards), and they did have a happy hour ($4 Stella Artois on tap). We tried the lamb marsala (very good), lamb vindaloo (excellent), saffron chicken (excellent - and huge portion), and tandoori chicken (the only disappointment - chicken was still on the bone [hard to eat] and a little dry). Nan was excellent (we had one garlic and one cheese). Skip the "King's Treat" 3 course meals (they come pre-selected [you don't get to choose your own items], and even the waiter told us we'd be better off ordering a la carte). In general, I'd definitely come back for very good Indian food.

“Above average Indian”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

Nothing special (if you want special, go to Rasika), but above average Indian food, good service (at least when not crowded). Plus its reasonably priced, which is a far cry from so many of the K Street restaurants that cater to the expense account crowd.

“Mediocre to average quality”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

My review title says it all!
Friendly people but the food is below average. And in the end, pricy for what it is.
