A great place to spend a few hours learning about a president many people know little about. Worth the $10 for the guided tour. All the guides are knowledgeable and are more then willing to answer any questions, as well as being very friendly.

President's houses are always fun. This one makes you feel like he'll be home any moment. Non pretentious as a home should be.

The Woodrow Wilson House Museum is located in the Dupont Circle area. Up and down the street are the residences of current ambassadors to the US. The house itself is beautifully kept. The interiors are all original to the 1920's period in which the former President was in residence. It is unusual in that all the furnishings are intact though he died in 1924. His wife lived there until the 60's then bequeathed the house and contents to the National Trust.

She assisted in identifying the original placement, etc. of all the contents of the house. The tours are not organized, you go to the house during tour hours and ring the bell. The docent will let you in and take your $10 and show you a short film on Woodrow Wilson's life. Then you get a personal tour of about an hour of the entire house.

Very interesting and the contents include many items that were given to the Wilson's when they were in the White House. Unlike today, President's were allowed to keep such gifts when they left the White House. Wilson was an avid technology buff so you get to see a lot of things that were leading edge in the 20's.

This is a fun break from the miles of Museum halls you encounter in DC. It is very personal and up close. If you like old houses, antiques, close up history, this is for you. The neighborhood is worth a walk around too.

Very well done tour with informative guides. A bit off the beaten path, so it's nice to go and get away from the crowds.
