“Gigantic spicy southwest burger---yum yum”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

I rarely ever eat beef but the southwest burger at BGR is yum yum yummy. It is oh so sloppy so watch out (fork, please!), but it has a serious and seriously good kick. It is huge, so split it or get a go-box! The sweet potato fries are crisp, delicious and a huge portion (again, go-box). My only bit of confusion is how BGR was rated high among "Cheap Eats" in DC. A burger and fries with a soda for twenty bucks isn't cheap to me...but if you consider it is yummy and two meals worth of food (and I can eat!) it is worth it.

“Lamb burger - not baaaaaad”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

Lamb burger, fries and a beer - $25. Zoinks! Washington DC is expensive (10% sales tax). Glad this one is going on the expense report.

The lamb tasted a little gamey and the cumin was a bit overpowering. The fries were nothing special - not bad, just not special. But the meat was tender and juicy, and the condiments were crisp and fresh. The bun was also fresh, but the whole thing kinda fell apart while eating.

A tasty, enjoyable meal, but certainly didn't meet or exceed my expectations (I was pretty excited to try the lamb burger - it just wasn't that special). Ewe can do better.

I love this spot for a quick bite to eat, with fresh, flavorful, juicy burgers. The restaurant has a super cute dining area as well.

“Best burger for a long time”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

Our hotel receptionist recommended this place when we said we fancied a casual place for a burger on our first evening after a long day's travelling.
It was a Saturday night and lots of young people around in fancy dress so there was a nice buzz about the place. It is very casual with a steady flow of diners and take out. Unusual combo of ingredients - I had the Wellington, which had a rich mushroom and cheese sauce. It was delicious, if a little too rich. The burgers and fries we had tasted delicious. I though it was well priced and a good place to go with kids/teens.

“Love this place!”

We came across BGR one day while in DC. Good decision! Their burgers are thick and juicy and their fries are cooked just right! We also love the Coke Freestyle machine there!
