The paintings often tilt crazily; the music veers from Old World Paris accordion to New Age to Brazilian beat; the decor consists of red glass chandaliers & wine bottles arrayed like beans on a tree. But in this old converted house, the food is divine: perfectly prepared & presented by friendly & efficient waiters, with not a soupcon of snobbery. Duck, beef, Chilean sea bass or vegetarian....you can't go wrong. Cacao could be romantic; it could be a fine spot for a small client meeting: flexiility is the key. We were a group of 6, and we had no trouble hearing each other. An all-round success. Highly recommended.
