If you are a beer lover, or just someone who enjoys the occasional sip or tasting this is a great stop while you are in DC. With a huge tap list, and even more bottled beverages your wish is their command. Taste by flavor or just dive in with a full glass of your favorite. The food is also delicious and makes for a fun evening outing after sightseeing and/or work and meetings. You wont regret coming here.

This was our only disappointing meal in DC. The fried foods - macaroni and cheese bites and fries - were good as was the bratwurst burger. But the tiny, overpriced serving of pork belly carbonara was completely bland and the charcuterie was gross. It just tasted old and unappealing. The server was not very friendly either. Stick to this place as a beer mecca and bar food and you'll be fine, just don't stray from those basics.

I live behind Churchkey. Which is awesome - but costly. I don't go as often as I did when I first moved here, but, I still enjoy it, mainly when friends visit from out of town (their heads almost explode when they see the beer menus!). They have tons of beer, and some of the most gourmet pub food to offer anywhere. I've had everything from foie gras with my beer to their housemade tater tots which are the best I have ever had.

Avoid coming on the weekends, and if you decide to "do happy hour" (which they don't offer specials!) come super early (i.e. at 4 pm when they open) or later after the preps and "typical" DC types have left.

Try to sit in the main bar, not in the back room (which seems sort of like it was just desperately thrown together for extra seating), a booth or the bar is the best sit - or one of the tables in the front by the window (a bit more "romantic"). Enjoy!

It's really only for true beer lovers, but we had a fantastic time here. We sat at the bar and had the bartender help us choose what we drank based on our preferences, and we had a lovely three hours with him and with our tasty appetizers (big thumbs up to the mac and cheese sticks). The beer prices add up fast but they have so much on draft that you will have never seen before- it was a great evening.

Great beer. Incredible selection on tap. The bar was packed and it kinda killed the overall experience. This place is trendy and tends to always be crowded.
