“Fantastic evening out!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

We had wanted to a unique night out in the city and searched out a jazz club. Without having tried out our other option, this by far made for a fantastic evening!

The supper club is tiny and the interior ambiance makes its 'back alley' location authentic.

We had tickets for the 8pm show and showed up about 6:15 to get our dinner table/show seat. If we had waited another half hour, we would have less of a prime table location.

We ate while waiting for the show to start, which is the only time chit chat is allowed. I love that the venue makes an announcement to LISTEN!

As we were leaving the line was quickly gathering outside the door for the 10 pm show, so I do suppose that show is finger foods and no talking time at all.

The service was great, the food was average.

Fred Yonnet, harmonica, was the show for the evening... wwwfredyonnet.com
ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I HAVE SEEN.
Such an engaging guy and talent that is unprecedented.
LOVED IT!

“Review of Blues Alley in Washington D. C.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

The location is very small but quaint/. The food is reasonable but most dishes (Southern cruisine) are tasty but not great. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the people are friendly. Arrive early to get a good seat in front of the stage.

We went to attend the show of angela winbush , The place is a bit small so you should expect the loud speakers around you .

Food and service was good , but i didnt like when they ban you from taking any picture and the way that guy jumped to stop me .

Saw Pieces of a Dream at the Jazz Club in Blues Alley. The club and band were both fantastic, I strongly recommend each.

“Great music, great place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

The oldest jazz club located in a tiny street in Georgetown. Not big, not many tables but great music and suprisingly good food. You can go to listen music only but having dinner as well ,is a very good idea. It was a concert of Trina Broussard, what a fantastic voice. We enjoyed it a lot.Service was very kind and quick.I only regret that CD 's were not available after the concert - I would definitely buy one to remember that great concert and very good club.
