“An all-ages gem”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

I take all my visitors here-- this place has something for everyone. I especially like the exhibit about how we use plants in our everyday lives. But you could just walk through it and never read a sign and still enjoy it. It is beautiful and well cared for. Two warnings though: It does close early--at 5 and they start kicking people out at about ten till 5. Also, the conservatory can get a little crowded on the weekends and because the walkways are a little narrow, you really feel the crowds. Weekdays are much nicer (and the surrounding gardens never feel too full even on the weekends).

In all the hustle and bussel of the Washington DC mall is a very nice quite place to enjoying nature and see a world of plants. Walk on the cat walk and shore in the tree tops looking into the flowers and trees below. Awesome to behold, be difference and go.
