“Lovely orchids!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

Nice atmosphere, nice smells, lovely flowers. I tasted the Stevia plant and immediately recognized the licorice taste. The orchids were the best: I'm starting à collection of My own!

“We stumbled upon the Garden of Eden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

My daughter and I visited the U.S. Botanical Gardens today. We had no idea that the Botanic Garden was going to be filled with so many beautiful plants and trees. There were several rooms. Some had different temperature and humidity than the others. All had a dense population of beautiful flowers and unusual plants. One room had so many different orchids. We had no idea they came in so many different varieties. This is definitely worth visiting and best of all it's free. It's located near the U.S. Capital and the American Indian Museum.

“Good for a quick visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

Only needs a quick visit, but lots of beautiful plants to see in here. I like the different sections that the garden was divided into & found the orchid area particularly nice.

“Year-round nature”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2012

Been here a few times, beautiful and educational at the same time. Good stop on the DC tour/site circuit. Worth the trip and it's free. Holiday time they decorate beautifully and have wonderful displays all made out of botanical plants. Amazing!

“A paradise of plants”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

Again history and thoughts of 3 man, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison who dreamed to have a national botanic garden, and today you have it on the National Mall. If you come in Washington DC take a break and come to visit that miracle of plants and not only. Orchids collection is huge and impressive, I stayed there looking them many minutes. Rare plants, the Jungle, the Children's Garden, First Ladies Water Garden there are only few from that marvelous and unique garden.
