This is a stunning indoor/outdoor garden -- as a horticulturist, I'm in awe of the talent behind each of the displays. Confess I've yet to see the outdoor gardens in season, but catch this place at Christmas and I guarantee it will knock your socks off!

Loved the train display during the holidays. And loved how The Mall is shown with many of the buildings on display made out of plant material. Not to be missed.

We've been here a number of times, and it's always nice, but it was exceptional at Christmas time. There are miniature replicas of all the important DC buildings, all made with plant materials. Quite impressive. There is another area, with miniature trains and fantastic buildings (think of what a giraffe garage would look like) and at least one castle, also made of plant materials. Very well done. By the way, they say there's no parking nearby, but the area near the Mall and the Capitol, in front og the Botanic Garden has free unrestricted parking on the weekends. Grab a spot there if you can.

You definately should go there to explore various plants and flowers! They also have awesome info on the crops that produce in Asia, Africa, Caribbean, and Europe countries! You can do self-guide tours with your friends and family for fun. It's also educational field trips for students from High Schools and Colleges. I have seen some students going there. It's very excellent spot for flower or garden lovers!
