In terms of size/area covered this is pretty large and made up of several separate concrete like blocks/memorials etched with his most famous quotes.Plenty of water features also.

“4th of July at the National Mall”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

While fairly close to both the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial, the FDR Memorial is a bit of the beaten track and requires one to walk a bit farther, but it is well worth it. Not only is it more secluded and less busy than other DC monuments, but it is set out over a large area and allows one to stroll through in the shade with running water falling over beatiful rocks. The Memorial is organized chronologically, so if you wish to follow it you must start closer to the MLK Jr. Memorial rather than the Jefferson. It mostly consists of large, roughly finished blocks of reddish stone (granite?), some bronze statues, and quotes from FDR divided into 4 outdoor rooms, each comprising one of his terms as president.

“One of my favorite memorials”

This memorial did a very good job of reflecting the FDR terms. It is open air and well worth the stroll.

This was differnt than I expected. It was a "walking" memorial. You walked through different areas to see the sculptures, writings, etc. Beautiful and better than expected.

“Very inspiring”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

I enjoyed this memorial tremendously. So many nice statues. I loved seeing the statues of people standing in the food lines. Everything looked so real and moving. The park was huge and quite pleasant. The statue of the little dog was nice also. I am glad they had him the wheelchair. It something you don't see often. I liked the reality of it all.
