This is one of my favorite memorials here in DC. The faux rock structures suggest power and integrity. There are all of these corners to explore where you can find bronze plaques with quotes from his speeches, etc. It's all good stuff. This memorial is well located, easy to get too, and a great place to visit when the weather is nice. Good access for the handicapped. This is also a good spot for the kids to burn off some excess energy, as there is plenty of room for running around.

The outdoor displays of FDR's famous quotations and their context created a strong impression and sparked an interest to read about his four terms as President.

This is perhaps the most involved memorial I have ever seen. It is not just a building, but a walk through a life and time. Highly recommended.

Again totally worth it. You will get pictures like all those you have seen on the tv in various american shows.

The Lincoln Memorial held that title until this one was built. I love the four rooms, designating FDR's four terms. Such meaningful words. The first time I went through I rented the "tour guide" recodings and it was helpful. I still remember much of it. The use of water, and reasons why, help put one into perspective of a person with a challenging disability, at a time when polio was feared and lack of tv hid the challenges.

Many stand in the bread line for a photo - but imagine doing it for a meal. Do don't see it in the same way in this time period, but they are at the parks for homeless people in D.C. Not sure we all make the tie.

Love the monument of Eleanor. My favorite monument, and what a great view of the other monuments and city.

AMAZING! Don't miss it.

Not real easy to get to......don't try to park. Take a cab.
