My favorite Memorial in a beautiful location right on the Tidal Basin, with wonderful views across the water. The memorial is a journey through his years as President, set among trees, walls and water features. Day visits are great for reading all the inscriptions and quotations, as well as for walking around to the MLK memorial and on the Mall. Nights turn this into a totally magical (and very romantic) spot, especially clear, crisp winter evenings. Don't miss this one.

This was another attraction that I saw at night and there were several statues of Roosevelt placed in between banks of flowing water falls. Also a statue of Elenor Roosevelt standing in a delightful walk through pathway.

Really nicely done! Really enjoyed that you could walk around to different areas of the memorial that depicted different things about Roosevelt. Really pretty waterfalls and statues. Also enjoyed the quotes that were engraved into the walls around the entire memorial.

This was by far the biggest memorial on the Mall. It went on forever...but was well done and gorgeous. I am sure it is so huge because FDR was in office for so long, four terms, and much history took place during his tenure. There is a small store there and Ranger tours are periodically offered. Although, we did not have one. There are multiple water falls, memorable quotes from the President and lots of nice shade trees. It was so nice! Well worth a visit while in D.C.
