“This is a huge memorial”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

I loved all the different periods of Roosevelt's life that were representated in the memorial ... it unfolded around every corner like reading a history book. Lot of waterfalls and peaceful grounds

“Beautiful monument...”
Reviewed March 17, 2012

And my parents lived through the Great Depression, and said that they captured the spirit of it just about right... Lots of interactive parts of this monument keep kids and adults interested. You are walking through the monument as you see the exhibits. Right near the cherry trees during the Cherry Blossom Festival too.

“Lots of people, very beautiful”
Reviewed March 16, 2012

It's basically a walled garden that you walk through, with the cherry trees between you and the lake and water features and carved rock celebrating FDR. Also had a tribute to Eleanor Roosevelt, which I appreciated

“Nicest Memorial to Walk Through”
Reviewed March 13, 2012

The FDR Memorial isn't as well known as the others, and being spread out, it doesn't strike the eye like the Washington, Jefferson, or Lincoln memorials, but this is a real beauty. It is by far the most detailed of the memorials on the National Mall, and it is beautiful to walk through.
