So the outside of this church is beautiful. The inside is not bad, the window I really wanted to see is unfortunately covered due to repair in that area of the church because of the earthquake. I don't know if there was an easier way to get to it but we had to walk a while to get to it all uphill which we're not used to since we live in Florida. It does cost like $10.00 per person to get into the church also so that was also disappointing.

One of the new world's most spectacular cathedrals, it has unfortunately become a paid attraction. We've been going there for 45 years and its beauty and history are remarkable. It has lovely gardens, great stained glass and remarkable stone carvings. Christmas Eve and Easter services are very heavily attended but moving.

The building was beautiful! The service was wonderful! We were part of a large group (276 people) and they accommodated our group without difficulty. We attended the 11:15 AM service and were very pleased. Everyone was so friendly, I will go back if ever in the area on a Sunday morning!

Off the beaten path of the Washington sights, the beautiful stained glass and carvings inside are well worth the trip, or the "hop off" of the tour bus.

Next to St Patrick's Cathedral and perhaps the Episcopal Cathedral in San Francisco this is America's answer to Notre Dame. If you get there around dusk they hold a short weekday vespers service and sometimes you can sit in the choir loft. Fabulous organ. Services open to all on Sunday. Though it is an Episcopal venue, the place is maintained by a dedicated group from all denominations. It took a hundred years to build. When you go down through the gift shop take the bottom passage and don't miss the special prayer room and Helen Keller's burial.
