Walking in this Cathedeal I felt transported back to Europe. The architure is awesome. You will be wowed by the windows. They have some nice informational pages you can use to tour on your own or they have docents who can give you a tour. Don't forget to check out the gargoyles outside. This attraction is free and photography is allowed except during services and special events.

We attended Christmas Eve services at the National Cathedral last year. We felt incredibly welcome even though we are not Espicopalian. The cathedral is beautiful and the service was just wonderful

I loved seeing the National Cathedral, and just seeing pictures of it does not do it justice. You need to stand in front of the Cathedral to truly appreciate it. I was in awe of how magnificent it really is.

Visited National cathedral during our recent trip and was very impressed. It is a magnificent building, beautifully maintained and with many areas of interest. We were lucky enough to take one of the free guided tours and I would strongly recommend this for the extra bits of information divulged.
Definitely worth a visit.

As you walk in, you are overwhelmed with the size and very embracing feel of the cathedral. I have been there many times over the years, as my sister attended the National Cathedral School (next door). Recently took an Inuit whom I brought to the Smithsonian - for a solo exhibition at the Inuit Studies Conference. He could barely speak when walking into the cathedral and being embraced by the feel of the spectacular, place which exudes warmth and feelings.
