Beautiful stained glass windows. You can do a self guided tour with brochure or a docent led tour. Bus service or a couple mile walk north on Wisconsin Ave.

Had guest in from England and Canada so we went to the Natioal Cathedal all were impressed. Was a beatiful day with the sun shining in the windows. We all enjoyed the gift show it always has nice things for just about everyone. So much history there and lovely gardens.

The architecture and history of the cathedral alone should make it a must see when visiting Wash DC. It is a stunning example of the "peoples church".

Such a tranquil, exquisite place. We were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the National Cathedral and felt so fortunate to have the opportunity to tour its grounds.

I was so excited about seeing the Cathedral. I had forgotten that DC had the earthquake and it damaged the Cathedral. The damage is still evident and put a damper on the visit. It was interesting seeing some of the pieces that had fallen off on the ground outside. What was disheartening was the black netting that covered above the entire nave. You lose the majesty and grandeur of the Cathedral. You miss the higher stained glass windows and the front rose window. I was very disappointed. The Cathedral is starting to look worn, it needs to be spruced up. There are still some amazing things like the moon rock in the window, but with so much to do and see in DC, I would not put this on the top of your list.
