“A stroll”
Reviewed February 5, 2014

The unique thing here is that DC has embassies in a central location, so a leisurely stroll will get you through this area. A lunch at nearby DuPont Circle and then walk off the calories along Embassy Row. The architecture is run of the mill to stunning . . . so do take the time. The tree lined street is a bit of a relax.

“Great morning trip on New Years Day”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

We used City Bikes to travel this street, all the way up the hill to the National Cathedral. Finding the South African embassy was a highlight, especially with the newly erected statue of Mr Nelson Mandela, within a few weeks after his death.

“If the weather's nice, it's a great stroll”
Reviewed December 20, 2013

Unlike many capitals, DC concentrates its embassies in one place. Not all of them are here (we saw the Ukraine in Georgetown) but the architecture is spectacular and worth a visit. Lookout for the Indonesian, the Luxembourg and the Turkish embassies. If you're into moremodern architecture, take a walk to Washington Harbour to see the spectacular UK embassy on the potomac (off the watergate complex)

“Beautiful architecture to gaze at”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

Strolling around these streets is just fantastic on a warm sunday afternoon after a good lunch in nearby dupont circle! Something fun to do: try to guess the flag in front of most houses here (dah the name of the neighborhood should have hinted that you would find a lot of houses with flags)...
Go to the Phillips collection!

“Embassy Row”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Not all of the Embassy's are on this "row" but a lot are represented. It's hard to see who some of the buildings belong to unless you are familiar with their flag. Some offer tours, most look like nobody is there. Nice walk though.
