Sister Act 10 out of 10
Flash dance 5 out of 10
Elf the musical 5 out of 10
Be careful paying thru the nose for tickets or parking. Recommend to park across the street. Orchestra seats at opera house are great especially K seats

“New Year's Eve at the Kennedy Center !”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Spent NYE at the Kennedy Center - first we saw a show in the Hall of Nations (?) - Ellis Hall and the National Symphony Orchestra - played Motown and Ray Charles tunes. Then after the show in the Grand Foyer - there were two bands playing and at midnight there was a balloon drop. Everyone was very friendly and it was a comfortable atmosphere to ring in the New Year. There was alcohol and food available for purchase. We had great Orchestra seats - so the tickets to the show were pricey - but worth it ! The Kennedy Center has multiple venues within the building - so there were at least 3 or 4 different events going on at the same time. I would definitely go again and see something else there.

New Year's eve at the Kennedy center includes a great show (this year Ellis Hall in the Concert Hall) and then a fun after party, complete with balloons dropping at midnight and dancing in the Grand Foyer.

“An interesting building”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

Visited this twice during my stay in DC. Once during the day. They have an unusual head portrait sculpture of JFK there that's worth a look and also the hall of the world of flags. The second was when I was invited to see an 'avant garde' Japanese dance troupe in the evening. A lovely night time view over the Potomac river and the bridge with fountains in the foreground. Very pretty at night.
