“Check it out”

Kennedy Center is fabulous. We saw two shows and very much enjoyed both. Even if you don't see a show it is a building worth the visit. Check out the Millennium Stage - offering free concerts every day at 6 pm, it is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the arts. Food is expensive so eat before you go - but definitely go! :)

“Great experience”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

We went to live the atmosphere. It was very nice to be part of history. We went to see Shear Madness as the other shows were not in our interest at the time. Great show.

“Great Theatre Venue - Shuttle Bus to Metro”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

Went during Xmas holiday to see Flashdance show. Show was very good, theatre layout was excellent and seating was very comfortable. Center was beautiful and worth spending time to walk around. There is a good café upstairs that is not cheap but food was good and though crowded before show time, you can easily navigate the crowds if you get there early enough (we got there about 90 minutes before show time and had no issues). The day we were there, there was a free show in the Millenium Theatre from 6-7pm (and we caught a few minutes of the end of the show). It was crowded so get there early if you want a seat. Possibly most importantly (in a positive way), there is a free shuttle that runs from the Foggy Bottom Metro station to the theatre. It runs at least every 15 minutes before the show - and though there was a line after the show to go back to the Metro, there were several buses and the wait was minimal. (The buses can handle about 25-30 people per load.)

“See Shear Madness, and see the Kennedy Center”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

It was the first time we had ever been to the Kennedy Center, after several visits to DC. What a wonderful evening! First, the Center is really several theaters, and I was impressed at how accessible it is. No problems getting cabs to or from the facility. We did walk around and enjoyed the outdoor area and view of the water. The play Shear Madness is very funny, and from what I understand the ending changes. We had such a good time, and with it being so easy to walk around, will bring my elderly mother next time to enjoy a show. The price for tickets was much more reasonable than in NY or Philly!
