“An unexpected delight”
Reviewed December 25, 2012

If you are going to Washington, taking in the Mall and Smithsonian museums, be sure to include the Kennedy Center on your agenda. We had a free tour with priviledged peeks at the President's private balcony suite, the ballrooms for famous dignitaries, several concert halls and a commentary on all the famous performers who have played at the Center over the last several decades. We also saw a wonderful FREE concert in the evening. There are free concerts nightly all year round. Hint: If you are into some political history, there is the famous WaterGate Tower a short walk away from the Kennedy Center. We snapped some pictures and then afterwards walked over for our free tour of the Kennedy Center.

“Eisenhower Theater”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

We went and say Million Dollar quartet. The seating was comfortable and no problems seeing the stage. Acoustics are very good. The only complaint is the staff needs a bit more organization when it comes to crowd movement.

“Hideous building that is hard to get to but...”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

The building is not convenient to much of anything. Foggy Bottom Metro is not all that close. it's a square with some pencil thin posts and a little contrasting bands. Ugly. BUT the shows inside are as good as they get.

“Sharing Arts for Free”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

Whenever the day of the year, take the free shuttle bus from GWU (Foggy Bottom) and reach the Center before 6 pm for free performance on Millenium stage. Always worth it - changes every day, extremely diverse, dancing, singing, jazz, classical music, flamenco, etc. Never got tired of this !

“Free musical performance”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

Happenings every Wednesday at 6 pm - free!. I went there and it was a live music performance by a Serbian artiste. He played memorable music themes from popular movies on the classical guitar. It was about an hour long performance. Snapping pictures at the vast Kennedy center was also great in the evening, but bring along a good camera for this rather vantage location.
How to get there - I took the Metro and stop at Foggy-bottom station. Then follow the signs, it's about a mile away walk past the George Washington University campus.
