We hosted a baby shower here and we were very happy with almost everything! We were looking for something different and we certainly got that. The menu offered was wonderful and had something for everyone. Not only was the food presented beautifully, but it was also very good. Not one complaint from any of our guests!
My only objections to this venue was that the room was MUCH smaller than it appeared on line. We were not able to visit before we booked becasue we are out of town and booked only on the pictures on line. The private function room is very small (although it did fit us all), but there was no room to mingle. Once you sat down, you stayed seated! Also, I found the staff to be a bit inflexible. It took some coaxing to get my 4 year old grandchildren a cupcake instead of creme brulee and orange juice instead of soda (even though we paid the same adult price for their meal that we didn't even take!)
All in all we really liked this place and if I were to rate the food on a 1-5 scale I would give it a 5!

First and foremost, a business needs to be OPEN when they say they will be. If they can't get that right, then what good is it?

On two separate occasions, we've visited Coco Sala only to find shut doors. Once, we went for happy hour and they were not ready for customers at 5 p.m. When they finally opened the doors almost a half hour later, the staff acted as though we were burdening them.

Again today, went by the chocolate shop which is supposed to be open from 11 - 7. At 4 pm the lights were out and no one was home.

The one time we were able to make it in for brunch, even though it was well past "opening" time, they still acted like they weren't ready for customers.

Bottom line is don't expect this place to be open or ready when they supposedly state they are. We will not be back ever again. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us. Fool us three times and we will no longer be the idiots who think Coco Sala wants our business.

Sure, you could come here for dinner...it's ok. But, the reason you come to Co. Co. Sala is for the dessert. The food here is going to be ok and you will have an ok meal. But, the dessert is excellent and the reason to keep coming back. My favorite in the winter is to get the white chocolate hot chocolate (really the best I've ever had). Their passion fruit sorbe is fantastic as well. So many of the desserts are fantastic, you won't go wrong. If it's nice out, sit outside and enjoy those walking down F street.

Try not to go on Saturday nights, it can be quite crowded and hard to even get a seat at the bar.

I have sampled small plates for dinner and the prix fixe brunch. Food is beautifully presented and flavorful. The brunch portions are generous.
