We've a lovely afternoon here! Just went there yesterday around 1 pm. We've met one lady (look like a librarian.) She makes the museum looks alive! She guided us around the building, go to the impressive theater, Mrs. Folger's room, some rare Shakespere's stuff. I can tell you that just the museum is not that good. Yes, it has many Shakespere's stuff. But for some people who doesn't know about him. It's a little bit boring. But she made them very interesting! It's good to be here on the afternoon, escape from all the busy museums. Spend a time here, take a rest and relax.
Ps. That lady asked me if I like Shakespere. I told her "yes" but all I know is only Romeo and Juliet. I feel so sorry. By the way, thank you for an impressive guide!

This quiet building behind the Supreme Court houses one of the greatest collections of Shakespearean and other Renaissance books, manuscripts, etc. in the world. Of course, ordinary visitors aren’t allowed access, but you can peek into the library and see scholars poring over these precious materials. Docents are always around to guide visitors through an exhibit and an in-house theatre.

Great staff who were knowledgable and incredibly helpful. Travelled from the UK to see the greatest collection of Shakespeare's work in the World. Loved DC and this was a real highlight.

Just saw Two Gentlemen of Verona and it was an outstanding production! Hilarious, superior acting, great use of minimal costumes and props. It's been years since I've seen a show here and it was great to return. My husband, who's never been, couldn't stop raving about how amazing the architecture of the theater was. Easy access to the Capitol East metro stop. We'll do this again.

This was a wonderful place to visit. The collection was very impressive and the children were putting on a play.
