Being in September 2010 in Washington, on my trip, I visited the Renwick Gallery and I found that very interesting. I liked very much the building designed in 1859 in the popular French Second Empire style by James Renwick Jr. Interesting to find was the fact the First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy led the effort to save this architectural and historical gem in 1960s. Here you can see and enjoy one of the finest collections of contemporary American craft in the United States.
