We have found that this is a great spot for pre-theater dinner if heading to Kennedy Center (the restaurant is just a very short walk away, and valet parking takes the stress out of getting in and out of the theater parking lot). We were there most recently during a terribly heavy rainstorm, and we were lent umbrellas to get into the restaurant from our car during the downpour. Staff was courteous and attentive without being obsequious--and the meal was fresh and flavorful.

A last minute choice but worth the extra effort, wonderful servers and food. Off the main streets but worth the trip.

This smallish place is very close to the Foggy Bottom Metro and next to the GW Inn and Doubletree. That does not sound like much to commend it but it is better than that. This small place has a decent and reasonable wine list, a variety of offering that is not large but shows range, and fresh food at local prices. The foccaccia is good and comes with a nice EVOO (balsamic also available upon request and is nice with it) and is warm and delicious. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Pastas are Primi courses, so for a full meal of pasta expect to pay just less than double. They were worth it... The entrees were generously sized and good too, but the pastas were the best part of the meal.

We had a nice table in a semi-crowed restaurant and no reservations. Good food, service and wine. Will go again.

The food was excellent and so was the service. My only problem was that we were there early in the evening and the restaurant was virtually empty yet they wanted to sit us in on the bench that runs along one wall. When I said that I would prefer another seat they just tried to move us to another part of the bench. I had to insist on a table before I got one. The bench was high and I'm short so it was uncomfortable to sit on.

Dined here before Kennedy center performance. Greeted at the door! Server had 6 tables...at the same phase and she was lovely and efficient and fun. The salmon was remarkable, beautifully seasoned and crisp. Paradelle was excellent. Good wines, reasonably priced. Per theater price fixe had lots of choice. We will be back. Took 6 easy minutes to walk to the KC.
