“Stop fussing!”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

This is an odd place to eat: there's a quickie cafeteria-feeling area at street level, and a sunken white tablecloth and real napkins section. We were seated in the former; wished we were in the latter. We can highly recommend the salmon, won ton soup and flavorful and warming tom kha. Thai iced tea was terrific: a LARGE glass and strong, so the melting ice didn't dissipate the flavor, as is often the case. We weren't offered dessert or post-meal caffeine -- perhaps these are not an option?

We had a waiter whom some probably appreciated for his punctilious care: we felt smothered. We dislike acting curt, but we dislike even more having the menu explained to us (we are capable of reading and asking questions) and being hovered over. After a while, it became funny.

“Quite the Menu”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

There was a nice variety of Asian food.
We walked from the Mall to Chinatown but did not walk far enough.
But this restaurant did hit the spot.

“Great Food and Ambiance”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this restaurant is given the mixed reviews. I only tried it because I had a living social coupon and am glad I did. My wife and I shared a few dishes-the Tom Kha soup-the Pad Thai, and two special Sushi rolls, the Asian Atlantis (Lobster, Avocado, Crispy Basils) and the Chesapeak (softshell crab tempura). The flavors of the soup and pad thai were intense and well balanced. We had both with shrimp-a little overcooked-but both dishes were still delicious. The rolls-were substantial and lots of fun. I loved the way the basil came through on the Atlantis roll (again nice balance in seasoning on the dish). The restaurant has a nice vibe. It's clean, hip, friendly, and elegant. There seem to be two sections to the restaurant-one near the windows that is more casual with tables without tablecloths and towards the back-tables with white linen tablecloths in case you feel like dressing up a bit. I will definitely be back.

“Great food”
Reviewed November 4, 2012 via mobile

We accidentally passed by this restaurant & I am glad we did. We came in around 4pm there were only few people & they still have lunch special. Some are a bit pricey for lunch but the portion is big as well. The food were great. We were not disappointed. My husband was very happy with his sashimi combo 11 pcs for $17 not bad. We paid about $75 for gyoza, fried rice, 2 rolls, sashimi combo, beef curry, soup. I think its reasonable. It is way alot better than sushiko. Well definitely come back when we visit DC. It is also a few blocks to the national mall.

“Any asian dish is on the menu.”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Anything you can think of is on the menu. We ordered drinks, appetizers, lots of sushi and dessert. Everything was fresh and the service was fast. I would go back.
