What a great tour we had today. The 5 of us ranging from 45 to 75 went on a DCItall tour with tour guide Dale. He was a very knowledgable and informative. The river cruise over lunch was great. The food was very fresh and inexpensive. $10 for a sandwich or wrap, a small packet of potato crisps and a can of soft drink. Not bad at all. The place of interest where we stopped were great and there seemed to be enough time (most of the time) to view the monuments. Occasionally some people were a little late which I'm sure you will have on any tour. Highly recommended for this group.

Our hotel recommended OnBoard and through our concierge I booked a Mt. Vernon tour. My party of three was told that we would be picked up at our hotel between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. We were at the front of our hotel waiting before 9:30; in addition, our hotel bell staff was helping us keep an eye out for our OnBoard pickup, so that we wouldn't miss them. At 10:00, having seen no OnBoard personnel, I called the local OnBoard number and reached an answering machine. I left a message and a callback number. At 10:15, I went to our hotel concierge and he called the OnBoard number, also reaching an answering machine. At 10:30, having had no contact whatsoever from any representative of OnBoard, we gave up. Luckily, we still had a day in the DC area, so booked with GrayLine Tours for the next day and had a wonderful time.

"I took two of your tours while in DC and thought they were the BEST ever!! Both guides were incredibly informative! From my other experiences with other travel tours...I will only choose DC tours in the future!"

We decided to do the DCitAll tour to try and get in as much as we could in our short visit to Washington.
The pick up was a little chaotic but once we were settled on the bus the tour guide Chris was an absolute hoot. He asked every one where they were from and one couple even knew his best man from his wedding so they had a telephone conversation which was bizzare. We saw all the monuments and memorials on the list and Chris' knowledge was very good. We had a secret code in order to make sure everyone was ready to go. The average age of our tour was the older end of the scale but Chris was very courteous and patient if some of the people were a little slow. We had a trip up the Potomac for lunch whch was $20 per couple a good choice of sandwich, wrap or salad, a bag of crisps( chips) and a can of drink. The guide on the boat pointed out some interesting facts too.
The weather was good too for the time of year so the views from the monuments were good
A good tour of you are short of time and want to see a lot of the tourist attractions.
