Rachel was a great tour guide. Segways are fun, easy and less tiresome to get to one monument or sight to another. Also, this company will provide you with a pass to be able to take the segway on your own once you have taken the tour, so you can piddle around town on your own, which I think would be even better. Walking far distances in the DC heat can wear a person down, segways are perfect to get around town. Question remains on how to lock it up for pitstops and shopping, but I'm sure they can help you with that as well. Good group and of folks at Segs in the City!

We did the Monument Safari. What a great way to get to the monuments. You visit the Jefferson, FDR, Lincoln, Vietnam, and Korean Memorials (you get to stop at each of these for about 10 minutes--enough time to get a photo or two and then on your way again). Also go by the Washington Monument and White House. You get a short training session before you leave. It's a little nerve wrecking to navigate through large crowds, but you get the hang of it. Easy to find the kiosk too! Great experience.

Rachel, our tour guide, was awesome!! Being on Segways is fun. Being on Segways in DC on a nice day like this morning was great fun. Having a personal earphone to hear the tour guide made it the best! Rachel is outgoing, personable, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. We took the Discover DC Safari. Living in this area, we had visited most of the places before, but we learned a lot more from the tour. And did I mention that we were on Segways -- so it was fun! BTW, I highly recommend Sunday mornings -- much less car and pedestrian traffic to endure. We will certainly try another of their tours in the future.

Even when getting around a busy pedestrian and traffic precinct Rachel not only made sure we were safe, she made us feel safe.
Rachel stopped twice to take photos of us with our cameras and told good stories about the landmarks. My favourite was to hear about how the beginnings of the Smithsonian Museum.

The best two hours you can spend motoring around the distirict with the best red head, Rachel,, in town , (who is cute and my shy son would like to date her). I have been all over the district and visited all the buildings, but seeing it from a person who lives in the District was the only way to go. Remember to take water with you on your ride.

Enjoy the segaway.
