Riding the segway was pretty easy once you got the feel of it. It was a fun way to see a lot of the monuments without exhausting yourself or having to take cabs the entire time. The tour guide was knowledgeable and nice, but a little weird.

My fiancee and I were only visiting Washington for one day so our plan was to do a tour. We ended up going with Segs in the city because I had always wanted to try a segway and this was a great opportunity to do both. We both had a blast.
First of all, using a segway is not difficult to ride. The device does all the balancing for you and it isn't much more difficult than standing in a stairwell. The tour guids also give you ~20 minutes to practice before starting the tour so you can get your confidence up. Once you try them you will love it.
The tour itself was awesome. We got a much better view of the attractions than a bus because we didn't have to stay in a bus and we got to see everything very quickly because segways are faster than walking. Our tour guide was very friendly and safety conscious. She had a ton of interesting stories and facts about Washington. Even if you are not someone who generally finds monuments and other buildings very interesting our tour guide's cheerful additional and stories made it fun.
And finally. YOU ARE ON A SEGWAY, and segways are fun. That alone guarantees that you will have a good time.

A fantastic way to see the city. Segs in the City is very easy to find being next to the post office tower on Pennsylvania Avenue. I chose to take the longer tour as I wanted to see the Jefferson Memorial and was so pleased I did. Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable, the group was given a demonstration of how to use the segway and safety tips, as well as a few practise runs before moving off. The tour was comprehensive and as return visitor to DC included somesites I hadn't seen before. I hope to visit DC soon and will definitely take this tour again.

In town for a few days with co-workers wanting to see as much of the city as we could - saw a Segs in the City ad near the hotel and decided to check it out. Best decision!

We took the evening tour of the monuments and weren't disappointed. We were in a group of 7 (3 of us + 3 others + our group leader). The tour ran from just before sunset to about 9pm (2ish hours). Rachel was our tour guide and not only was she extremely well versed in American history and highlighted points of interest on our tour, she was very personable and entertaining to listen to. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Washington D.C.
