“Fantastic and life-like!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

This memorial is comprised of 19 true to life stainless steel solider statues suspended in time as they make their way through rough terrain. They are authentically dressed in Korean-era war gear and rain garb. Somehow they actually appear to be moving. We went at sunset and it was very moving. The memorial wall is equally amazing. Thousands of pictures from the war are etched into the marble--when we were there, the shadows of the solider statues dramatically fell against the wall. Worth checking out, even if only on the internet.

“touching...”

The faces of the soldiers are so lifelike, very touching... You can virtually feel what they felt, and imagine what pain and suffering they saw. Congrats to the artist.

“Gripping thousand yard stare”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

I had the privilege of seeing this memorial on a cold wintry night with snow on the ground. It was the perfect setting to view what the artist so beautifully captured, how the battles fought had worn down the soldiers and yet they trudged on to complete their duty. This memorial is a must see event, but do yourself of taking the time and opportunity to see it at night and you too will see the thousand yard stare in the eyes of the soldiers.
