This is certainly a museum which attracts some people with technical interests or interests in airplanes and spacecrafts. Quite impressive with all these planes on show.

A must visit amongst all the museums in DC. Be prepared for a long queue from one side to enter (the secret is that the other side is what people forget and you may be in quicker). Go straight to the reception and they will tell you when the guides will be taking you around. It is important to be guided as you may just end up hanging around going from one exhibit to the other. I had a couple of navymen and air men in my tour

The planes and the exhibits can be seen in my photos.

The kids loved every exhibit, they were particularly thrilled with the exhibit of the wright brothers, the flights simulators and the missiles ! The place is huge and there is so much to learn that one day is just not enough, i wished we would have been able to go on two consecutive days . Please note that no food and drink are permitted to be taken inside this museum and all the bags are checked at the entrance

We spent a few hours here with 2 young children and loved it. I probably enjoyed it the most as the exhibits are incredible. The wright brothers first plane, USSR missiles, moon rocks and do much more.

Definitely worth a visit. There's even an interactive gallery for children! I even learned something about buoyancy and air flow!!

This is a wonderful place to visit, except the school children should be restricted to 9 am to 4 pm and the gallery should have extended hours for other visitors. It was almost impossible to take in the exhibits without being pushed or shoved out of the way by the hundreds of students that were given the run of the museum. The noise level was over the top. We would have loved to have taken in more of the museum but the experience was frustrating and we left after 45 minutes.
