We spent 2 days in this museum - it has so much to see and the exhibits are extremely informative. At the IMAX theater we say the Hubble in 3D - excellent film. Planetarium was closed with issues so we couldn't see anything there.

I was not expecting to enjoy the exhibits as much as I did. They were presented in a way that really piqued one's interest and well written up so that you could envision the history behind them.

The National Air and Space Museum is fascinating and a very interesting way to spend an afternoon. Also it is free, the staff are also very helpful.
Don't go to late in the afternoon as some exhibits close about 3-4pm for private functions.
It is well worth a visit when in Washington.

The collections are brilliant. All exhibits arranged in most interesting way and with great attention to detail. The shows at planetarium are good and informative. Dont think you need to be a kid to enjoy it - great for all ages :) Good fun.

The IMAX presentation on the Hubble telescope is not to be missed! Truly awesome and worth the extra fee to view this.
