So much to see. We went on a Saturday and it was quit busy. This is a museum you could spend a whole day in. Enjoyed seeing all the spaceships and missiles. Easy to get something to eat at the food court right next door.

Being free was the best part for me. This is the most popular, and therefore the most crowded of the Smithsonians. They have lots of aircraft and artifacts to see, but unless you like these things before going into the museum, the museum itself will not convert you. Extra tip: Best souvenir shop of all the Smithsonians I went to

If you have the time - a must see. One can easily spend 2-3 hours just walking around and reading through the information.. I personally like the air museum more than the space museum - the places are quite fascinating.
Go with someone who knows about planes (I went with my hubby) as its much more exciting with a personal guide who is very enthusiastic :)

You could easily spend an entire day in this museum if you have any kind of interest in planes, space or technology. Really brilliant displays, and all the memorabilia from the Space Race, loved it. And the kids all seem to adore it!!

This was a neat museum...even though it is more suited for the men and children. However ladies, this has the largest gift shop of the Smithsonian's which is 2- stories. The space shuttles Re great to see and the old airplanes were interesting to see.
