“National Air and Space Museum - A DC Aviation Fest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2011

From the Wright Brothers, War I & II to remote control aircraft that can tell whether you have pickles on your hamburger or not, the National Air & Space museum in Washington DC has a marvelous display of flying machines. The National Air and Space Museum is a FREE attraction, so certainly worth the money. This is a must do on any tourist vacation to Washington DC, but we must note that it may not be a favorite for the younger kids. Great space and aeronautical info for those that always wanted to be a pilot or an astronaut.

When you visit plan to spend at least a half day to see all these flying machines, interactive exhibits and iMAX movies that will blow your mind. Best of all it's FREE except the movies. Great place for older kids and teens to check out.

“Over 9 million people cannot be wrong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2011

Entry was free and the free 1.5 hour tour was great. Remember, these are not copies or replicas, but the real thing. See all three capsules that orbited and/or landed on the moon. The spirit of St. Louis and others, you will not be disappointed.

“Go if you have never seen this”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2011

I think alot of it is old and dated; but they do update things often; so worth it to drop in now and then. Kids will love it all and for them, plan on hours there.
Ok cafeteria(food court with McDs); and the gift shops are ok.

“For air buffs.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2011

If you are an aviation buff then this is the place for you. be advised .....it is a day long affair . Most of the Smithsonian museums here are like that. Free ( donations are accepted) and worth a lot money if they charged a fee this place is a must see on the to do list while in the nations capital.
