What I like about these museums is they are all free to enter. This one is exceptional.

“Lots to see..”
Reviewed November 12, 2011

One of the top museums on the mall. Thousands of things to see with historic collections of aircraft, spacecraft and other exhibits.. allow a half day for this.

“Such a cool place to go see”
Reviewed November 12, 2011

This museum has so many neat things to see and learn about. You'll see the history of airplanes and the space program, as well as seeing Wright airplanes, rockets, missiles, and things from the Apollo and Gemini missions (and too many other things to list). The coolest thing that happened during my visit was that I got to watch, live, the shuttle Discovery land on the big screen in one of their rooms; everyone started clapping when it landed, so that was worth watching with a crowd of people!

I would recommend getting there right when it opens, so that you might avoid the crowds that start showing up a little later. Tickets are free. You'll definitely want to spend a few hours here also.

“Explore your childhood dreams”
Reviewed November 8, 2011

When I was a kid I wanted to go to the moon. As an adult I fly planes. This is the place to see everything there about planes, flying machines and NASA. Great for kids and adults
