Wonderful building. Great art, beautifully displayed. Cafe between buildings was convenient. Security checks were cheerfully carried out.

“Art lover's must see.”

The building alone is worth the visit but the art is amazing. So much to see, you'll need half a day to do it justice.

“Go to the East Wing before it closes for 3 years!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

We had a great time at the museum. The Diaghilev review and Ballet Russes until October 6th.
They have great films, costumes, music and paintings to coordinate with the period. If you have time go to the older West Wing and be sure to take one of the many tours. We did a short Italian tour and saw Leonardo's Ginevra De Benci. Our docent pointed out many pieces that we might have missed and gave us great historical background. Docents study for over five years before they give the tours and are a wonderful source of information. If a tour isn't available when you are there, be sure to take the recorded tour so that you get more background information. They also have tours geared to children.
Best of all - it is all free!

“Ballets Russes”

This was a great show educating me about the collaborations with Matise and Picasso. The costumes and production were so far ahead of their time. Diaghlev was an amazing creative force. Very enjoyable.

“I'm not an art buff but.......”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

I'm not an art buff but it was wonderful to just enjoy the quiet air conditioned tranquility of this lovely place. The artworks are all nicely placed and lovely to wander around.
