It's a great old building 9the castle) and great exhibits. Can't beat the price! The gift shop was a huge disappointment though.

you need probable weeks to visit these gorgeous and interesting building museums but if you dont have time , at least visit the gardens ! Original Rodin 's sculptures, unbelievable floral arrangements, water falls, etc ! So relaxing , so tranquil !

Too little time to see it all. Must see in DC! The place is so big and there are only so many hours in a day. I will be back to see the rest. Favorite part was seeing and touching the Berlin Wall sections!

This has artifacts in it you wouldn't even expect. Julia Child's kitchen, unique inventions, dresses of the first ladies. Appeals to all ages.

This is a good place to start when planning your trip round the many Smithsonian museums. Details of opening times, which vary between museums and days, and a shop where you can buy your Smithsonian Institute t-shirt for wearing on your visits! Also has information about the origins of the Institute which is interesting. The building itself is beautiful. Good toilet facilities and eating place.
